Eco-Pavilion

Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University
The Eco-Pavilion, a small gazebo designed for relaxation and coworking, has found its place within the scenic grounds of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University. This innovative structure not only offers a serene space for students and staff to unwind, but it also embraces sustainable practices by harnessing the power of the sun.

Inspired by the nomadic yurt, the Eco-Pavilion seamlessly blends traditional design elements with modern functionality. Its distinctive shape and thoughtful placement contribute to the overall ambiance of the university campus.

The primary objective of this project is to promote environmental preservation and encourage the adoption of alternative energy sources. By integrating solar panels onto the rooftop of the pavilion, it becomes a self-sufficient structure, generating clean and renewable electricity for various purposes.

The construction parameters of the Eco-Pavilion adhere to high standards of quality and sustainability. With dimensions measuring 3 meters by 3 meters, it offers ample space for individuals to gather and collaborate. The foundation consists of sturdy columnar supports placed on brick blocks, ensuring stability and longevity. The framework incorporates 150mm by 150mm timber beams on the corners, accompanied by 100mm by 150mm timber beams around the perimeter, providing structural integrity.

The roof features a four-sided, gable design, complemented by durable asphalt shingles that protect against the elements. Inside, the floor consists of carefully selected planed boards measuring 50mm by 150mm, creating a comfortable and inviting environment. Additionally, steps at the entrance facilitate easy access and ensure convenience for visitors.

By embodying sustainable practices, this project serves as a shining example of an environmentally friendly initiative, aligning with the university's commitment to sustainable development.

The Eco-Pavilion at Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of nature, innovation, and sustainability. It serves as a welcoming retreat where individuals can connect, collaborate, and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings while promoting a greener future.
